Cloud Records & Copies You Can Keep | Item Legacy

A collection record is worth returning to. The photographs, description, condition, and notes help keep an object’s details together, ready for the next time you need them.

Item Legacy stores records with your account. Sign in, return to your collection, and open the saved item again. Use an internet connection when working in the app; a page already on screen is not an offline copy.

To keep a separate copy of your item data, open Import and Export. The Export page offers a full vault CSV, along with filters for a more focused file.

Here, we select one collection and download its CSV. Choose the scope that fits the copy you need. Export allowances depend on your plan, so check your available access.

Open the downloaded file in a spreadsheet application. The rows contain the exported records, with columns for details such as item name, condition, values, and storage location. Check that the file opens and contains what you expected.

Photo count and document count tell you how many files are attached. Those numbers are not the original photographs or documents. Keep your original media separately, alongside the copies of records you want to retain.

An export is a copy of the data listed in the file. It does not establish that your entire account can be restored. Cloud Backup access and reviewed restore requests are separate features.

After important additions or updates, make an appropriate export and check it. Store that copy somewhere you control. Keeping records current and keeping useful copies are practical habits you can start today.
